It is the responsibility of AJC members to: 

  • Ensure the information they submit to the Alternation List is accurate.
  • Only use the information provided for its intended purpose (i.e., to help AJC members connect about alternation).
  • Contact potential alternate matches themselves using the contact information provided by AJC Alternation List participants.
  • Engage with each other respectfully and courteously.
  • Follow the National Joint Council Work Force Adjustment Directive to properly pursue alternation.
  • Update the AJC when their status changes and/or when they wish to be removed from the list by emailing wfa-re@ajc-ajj.ca

Final decisions on alternation rest with the employer/management.
