The Employer’s decision to pause the Program negatively impacted LP-01s. Getting the Employer to unfreeze promotions as quickly as possible was the best way to limit any further damage to LP-01s’ career progression and earnings, and that is what the AJC achieved. This approach reflects a deliberate and strategic choice to prioritize the outcome that would have the most immediate and meaningful impact for members.

The secondary focus was on compensation. The AJC legal analysis found that we would not secure a better outcome on compensation through litigation. With that in mind, we advanced proposals that reflected the interests of all members, including different compensation models. As is often the case in negotiations, not all proposals are accepted by the Employer. That said, we fought strategically, brought the Employer to the table, and secured key gains that restore career progression in a way that other approaches, including acting alone or pursuing litigation, could not have achieved.
