The Association of Justice Counsel (AJC) is reaching out to the AJC members who identify as Black employees to share their experiences working for the federal government. The Black Class Action has highlighted the ongoing challenges and impact from years of systemic discrimination by the federal government that has resulted in barriers to career advancement and other negative impacts for Black AJC members.
Should you wish to participate and provide any information or insights about your experience as a Black employee in the federal public service, we ask that you please contact external counsel retained by the AJC, Amarkai Laryea and Barhilla Jesse-Buadoo at RavenLaw LLP (contact information below), and provide them with the following information:
- Name
- Pronouns
- Phone number
- Email address
Discussion with the lawyers will remain confidential and will not be shared with the employer. If you wish to provide written information, this will also be kept confidential.
We hope to hear from as many people as possible by August 28, 2025. However, there will be further opportunities for participation as we will be gathering information on an ongoing basis.
