Update on Pay Implementation

Tuesday, May 13, 2025

Dear AJC Members,

The AJC continues to press Treasury Board on its slow implementation of the pay provisions of this collective agreement. It is frustrating to see management pay increases prioritized over those of bargaining unit members, as well as the employer’s lack of honouring commitments made at the bargaining table.

Since the rollout of this agreement, the AJC has, at every opportunity, held management to account, including the filing of an unfair labour practice. Follow the link here for a list of the actions the AJC has taken to date.

As of April 30, 2025, the Treasury Board has advised that:

  • Out of 4,010 accounts, 3675 or 92% of LP classified employees have moved to the new pay grid, received their salary increase, and received retro related to the new rate in the collective agreement
  • For these accounts, reviews will be completed and there may be more manual validation required before they are considered “complete”.
  • 3,514 accounts are considered "complete"

The AJC continues to monitor and challenge the implementation process closely. We will provide further updates as they become available.

Sincerely,

Gregory Harlow
AJC President
