Update on Pay Implementation

Friday, April 11, 2025

Dear AJC Members,

We are writing to provide an update on the progress of pay implementation. As of April 10, 2025, the Treasury Board has advised that:

  • Out of 4,010 accounts, 3,599 or 90% of LP classified employees have moved to the new pay grid, received their salary increase, and received retro related to the new rate in the collective agreement.
  • For these accounts, reviews will be completed and there may be more manual validation required before they are considered “complete”.
  • 3,475 accounts are considered "complete"

We recently learned that the employer has been adjusting the pay of employees in the Law Management Occupational (LC) group, who are managerial. Given the unprecedented challenges we have experienced with the implementation of our collective agreement, it is outrageous to see the employer prioritize management when bargaining unit members have not all been paid.  More grist for the unfair labour complaint the AJC has filed against the employer.

The AJC continues to monitor and challenge the implementation process closely. We will provide further updates as they become available.

Sincerely,

Gregory Harlow
